This artwork was selected as a finalist for the 2025 Annual Art Awards exhibition at the Cairns Art Gallery.
Painted on a traditional hand carved Balinese headboard, I wanted to honor the roots of this beautiful piece of craftsmanship by painting something that ties in with the Balinese culture and that feeling of peaceful tranquillity that so much of Indonesia and Southeast Asia embodies.
