A younger version of myself saw her future as a sure thing. That life would turn out a certain way, and all she had to do was grow up and she’d have it all figured out.

Now I’ve realised that I don’t think we ever really figure it out. I still look ahead with uncertainty and hope, but now I can accept the beauty in that.

So here I am, drifting in the open. It’s beautiful and vast and as changing as the waves, but I’m still moving forward – still afloat.
